Why?

Digital technology and online collaboration are all about trust. Especially in the food chain where many different stakeholders share information, often across borders. Technology such as blockchain can enable trust, but only if it’s provably reliable and if the digital registration matches the physical reality. Thus, the way we verify compliance is an important part of digital trust.

Who?

We’re proud to announce that Deloitte will host this track! As a major international accounting firm, Deloitte has a longstanding reputation for trust and compliance. On top of that, they have in-depth knowledge about blockchain and other new technologies. Together with companies in agriculture and certification experts, they’ll contribute to solving compliance issues with blockchain-based networks.

What?

To support the transition to sustainable and transparent supply chains, VeChain and DNV GL have created a blockchain platform to quantify emission reductions in a certified and auditable way. Together with Deloitte they explore how to help businesses in the agri-food industry onboarding this platform, to be compliant with the required processes and standards in order to incentivise a greener, more sustainable supply chain. Together we can leverage our collective experience with blockchain technology, certification and compliance to help lower your carbon emissions.
